Dating back thousands of years, Traditional Chinese Medicine is an all natural style of medicine far older than the current Allopathic medicine that only dates back several hundred years. Side effects are almost non-existent, by comparison to many of the serious ones associated with pharmaceutical medications commonly taken for even the simplest ailments.
Contrary to misconceptions held by many people, Traditional Chinese Medicine consists of more than just Acupuncture. Also included in this medicine are the uses of Herbal prescriptions, Tui Na massage, Cupping, Moxabustion (commonly referred to simply as Moxa), Gua Sha (scraping) and many other modalities. Acupuncture is also subdivided into different specific categories such as Auricular (ear), scalp, hand as well as body Acupuncture.
